Bad MentorsA few years ago I invested in a business mentor. He promised me all the things I’ve secretly wanted – 100’s of 1000’s in the bank, Clients throwing money at me, working 10 hours per week (that part never really appealed to me tbh), but here’s the real kicker… I confided to him that I felt like my wife (ex wife now) looked at me like a loser. Man, did he hone in on that. Anyway, long story short I signed up with him and his coaching, for the sweet sum of £5000. I paid it. I knew I needed to take a leap and I knew I needed someone to help and guide me and I was sick of feeling like a loser for myself and in my ex wife’s eyes. For that amount of money I was expecting a specific plan for me, 1-1 calls… you know… actual coaching! Instead I got a “access” to a bunch prerecorded videos. All full of high pressure sales tactics and techniques. & if someone couldn’t afford my coaching, tell them to get in debt for it. Seriosuly!! Actual debt!! None of this felt good to me – and feeling good and proud of what I do and how I do it is a BIG thing for me. It was an awful waste of money, and guess what, my ex wife looked at me even worse (something I didn’t think possible) but I couldn’t even blame her. From that day I promised myself a few things:
These commitments have served me well – made my business more successful and made me feel great about what I do and how I do it. This is why I’m making “Got Your Back” so affordable, so accessible and so packed with help and value it will blow your mind. Right , I’m off to finished editing and uploading the next bunch of videos for the group – should be ready to go by Friday! Ta Ta for now, Alan “could have spent that 5k on a holiday” O’Mahony |
