Hi, I’m Alan O' Mahony.
I always love the “about me” page on websites like this because they’re written in the third person …even though they’re typically written by the the owner of the site.
So after Alan O'Mahony made several attempts to sound smarter than he really is by writing about himself in the third person, he quickly abandoned that approach and decided to write this page like it was a letter to a friend.
Which …in many ways, it is.
Anyway – what do you want to know?
I’m 35 years old. I'm divorced, and have been living and working as a personal trainer in Edinburgh for over 5 years.
I’m guessing that’s not the kind of stuff you’re looking for.
You’re probably wondering,
"Is This Guy Worth My Time And Attention?"
For many readers, my answer is NO.
I Will Not Help You Lose Weight Quick.
For some reason, people equate “fat loss expert” to “lose fat fast”.
I get it. You want to get the results as quickly as you can with the least amount of effort.
When I completed my Masters I thought I would know all the "secrets" and "hacks" to help people lose body fat faster than anyone else
Well, it wasn’t easy, and what I have learned through further learning and years of coaching... losing weight quickly means there is an 87% chance of you regaining it and more just as fast.
I am not about that my friend.
I am about helping you lose those lbs as seamlessly as possible, so they won't find their way back to you at a later date.
If You Don’t Want To Put The Effort In, You’re Not Going To Enjoy My Methods.
No, I'm not a boot camp army sergeant type. But here’s why I’m telling you this.
Start going down the “how do I lose weight” rabbit hole, and you’ll see all kinds of ads and articles about "lose 20lbs in 10 days", "how to get shredded by eating ice-cream and donuts" and all kinds of hype on the “latest loopholes” for burning body fat.
Does some of it work?
Probably. In the short term. But if you rely on that, you don’t have a healthy sustainable fat loss programme.
You have a temporary drop in weight (not necessarily fat) supported by an unsustainable fad diet.
And that is a waste of time. If you want to waste time go see a movie. It’s more fun (and less damaging to your health)
If You’re Looking For “The Easy Way”,
I Don’t Want To Help You.
It’s important you understand what I’m telling you.
I can help you, I just won’t. I’m capable of it, but I refuse to do it.
Because when I hear someone say, “What’s the easiest way”, what I’m really hearing is, “I’m not fully invested in the long term success of this process… and am therefore not fully invested in the long term success of myself.”
And that really translates to “I don’t want to work”.
Look, losing fat is HARD WORK.
Yes, when you make progress and start seeing the results it can be just like you imagined: Fitting into your clothes, not being anxious about going on holiday and feeling damn good about yourself!
But that takes HARD WORK to achieve and it takes HARD WORK to maintain.
